WHAT IS YOGA AND WHAT CAN IT DO FOR YOU?

Yoga is a form of exercise which focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing, enabling you to boost your physical and mental wellbeing. It regularly brings a wide range of benefits including support with the management of high blood pressure, heart disease, muscle & joint pain and stress & depression. Providing a dedicated one to 1 to 1 or 1to2 sessions, the movements and sessions will meet your individual needs. These sessions will improve your overall fitness levels and provide you with the knowledge, skills and confidence to take control and improve your overall wellbeing.

WHAT IS MINDFULNESS AND WHAT CAN IT DO FOR YOU?

Mindfulness is a meditative practice that focuses on being in the present moment and accepting our thoughts without judgement and allowing them to pass. Approved by the NHS, mindfulness has been shown to provide remarkable benefits to those who practice it. Such benefits include, relieving the effects of depression & anxiety and supporting individuals in the management of high blood pressure and heart disease.

WHAT IS WELLBEING?

Well-being describes our overall mental state. It affects how we view ourselves and how well we can cope. There are 5 factors that can be developed to improve our well-being. These factors are feeling connected to others, being alive, learning, giving back and mindfulness.
Selecting a range of tools and activities in each of the 5 areas we can learn to manage our well-being and lead more fulfilling lives. My one to one yoga session that I had with Rob was enjoyable in many ways he was very good at making sure I was stretching into the postures in the correct way and to stretch further into them using my breath. I managed to stretch into positions that I had not been able to before. Rob was able to get the best out of his me, providing the attention that I needed from my yoga teacher. Rob is a very good teacher, and I would highly recommend his classes to anyone.

Yoga is absolutely awesome and it’s instructor Rob has a teaching gift! With small group classes you are definitely not just a number and you are at with your technique, (beginner or advanced)

I have been coming to Rob’s classes since they first started 13 weeks ago. Before I joined the class I used to suffer back pain resulting in a weekly visit to an osteopath, but have not needed to go to once since beginning yoga.

Not only has yoga benefited my back problem, it has improved my posture, self esteem, motivation and have made new friends along the way!

I’m thankful to Rob for his patience and nurturing throughout these past few weeks with noticeable results from week 1, with strength, flexibility and body shape.

I look forward to the weekly sessions.

I was initially sceptical about the benefits but soon myself shedding the racing thoughts of work/home. Relaxing into a calm state. On the first night, my sleep was noticeably improved and it was easier to stop the racing thoughts of daily life and drift off much sooner than usual. Rob's exercises can be applied in any setting to help you stay calm in stressful situations.
I feel I am now more able to control my reaction to daily stresses and remain focused. This has improved both my work and home life.
