COUNSELLING
WHAT IS COUNSELLING?
At its most basic counselling is a talking therapy, which provides you with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space. Within this space, you can express and explore your thoughts and feelings and will be supported to develop a range of tools or coping techniques to help you manage the challenges you are facing.
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
Support sessions are carried out on a one to one confidential basis and will typically last 60 minutes. In the initial session we will begin to discuss and identify your support needs and agree a support plan. Within all sessions you will be met with empathy and honesty, and all topics bought forward for discussion will be met with non-judgement. At all times you will be in control of that which is discussed.
HOW I CAN HELP
I specialise in an integrative, person centred approach to counselling. This means that I will draw on a number of different approaches to provide you with the support that best suits your needs. These might include motivational interviewing, solutioned focused, CBT and REBT approaches.
